Hello ...
After 5 years the time has come for a mini-upgrade.
The setup i intend:
C2D E8400
P5Q
4x2GB DDR2 PC8500
ATI 4870
2x80GB SATA Raid0
Because finances are very tight, how many watts and above to begin to wanting? Also from experience what you recommend?
Corsair 550w ... may be made and Pc Power & Cooling 500w.
I feel that of fewer watts. I think that 700W or above is what would be required.Quote:

I already have a RAID0 hard disk. The 8GB will be combined with Vista and a music production programs.
When I say tight finances means costing around with a heavy heart for psu. No direct interest to crossfire. Unless the 4870 proved potatoes for games! :) The overclock will be basically in CPU / RAM.

Well those are Corsair 550W CMPSU-550VXEU and ENERMAX EPR525AWT PRO82 + 525W. Seem to be perfect. Will have a look at the reports. Thank you for that recommendation.
