which version are you using? & your operating system?
Have you tried running IE with No Add-ons. Go to Start> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).?
open IE and click Tools> Manage Add-ons> Enable or Disable Add-ons... Disable all add-ons and enable them one by one to try to isolate the issue.
Well new tab option is available with IE7
& my operating system is windows XP.
Well i dont have any pluginns installed.
I also had the same problem. I went into the control panel and disabled all the add ons and added them back by groups. The add-on giving me problems was SSVHelper Class by Sun Microsystems, Inc. Try disabling that one first (if you have it) and see if that helps.
