MSI soon to Launch MSI P45-8D Motherboard
MSI will soon propose a map called P45-8D "dedicated to ... Lovers of memory (Memory Lovers). Based on an Intel chipset P45 and expected for mid-September, the P45-8D actually as the main originality to propose a total of ... 8 memory locations! MSI and welcomes proposing the first motherboard general public with 8 ports DIMM. Users of the card can therefore opt for the first 4 sites dedicated to the memory of DDR2 type or the other four reserved for DDR3 memory to have a maximum of 16 GB (DDR2) or 8 GB (DDR3). A user can then use as a first step of DDR2 memory, before moving to the DDR3 once this memory becomes more affordable.
In addition to this, this card offers two new features / technology called "MEMORY Identifier" and "Memory Runner" who need to optimize opportunities overclocking and performance memory's. The newest of MSI also offers a PCI Express 2.0 16x, and a compatibility with the frequency of bus 1600 MHz. If everything goes well, this model will be offered to around 150 euros * (extra memory sold separately).

Any 64 bit OS can support RAM between 32 - 128 GB memory. Xp 64 - vista ultimate 64. Not so sure about linux OSs. But as 64 bit versions are available for all distros , thats not at all a question

A core 2 due extreme.... 64 bit OS.... 16 GB RAM... OH!!!! world is not enough!!
