Windows Media Player Has Stopped Working. (Media Player 11)
I have two desktops at home, both running with Windows XP and WMP 11. Out of these I have problem with Windows Media Player on one PC. Whenever I try to launch, it gets freezed with the following error message:
“A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”
I don’t know what could be the problem. Because both of these PCs have exactly same configuration but WMP is working on the another PC properly and giving problems on this one. Somebody please help.
Re: WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER HAS STOPPED WORKING. (MEDIA PLAYER 11)
Even I had this problem on my Windows Vista 64bit OS. It use to crash within a minute after launch. I tried re-installing but dint worked. The problem actually started after installing Nero on this system, hence I uninstalled the same but still getting the same problem. Its been 2 weeks am trying to get it fixed but yet not successful. The only thing left is the reformat and clean install. I will do it in next 2 days if I dint found any solution.

Re: WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER HAS STOPPED WORKING. (MEDIA PLAYER 11)
Instead of uninstalling the entire OS or WMP, why don’t you guys just try restoring your system to any previous working restore point. I had this problem and system restore fixed my problems many times. You guys must give it a try.
