code_post_gfx_mp.ff in Cod4

I have this error when I connect to a server in Cod4

code_post_gfx_mp.ff is different form the server

Is there a list of servers when you choose 'multiplayer'?
if yes then it happens in all the server or just selective one .

it looks like the installation has failed somehow. You have the game looking for the ff file in the zone folder but its placed in WINDOWS?????
Should be in the COD4 folder..

I recommend to un-install and do a complete reinstall and follow the recommended way to do it (read: just click next all the time)

You could try the punkbuster install. I had to goto "Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\miles" and rename "mssmp3.asi" to "mssmp3.bak" to get COD4 to run.

I uninstalled and downloaded all the updates, and installed them in order. Now I'm having fun killing Tangos. thanks for all the reply .
