How to get rid of Startup items and enable defender on Vista
I need some help here. I am planing to get rid of some things on the startup but finds that if I do that, Windows Defender also fails to startup. I want to use this as it is quiet light compared to other antivirus. But somehow I cannot understand whey I disable all from startup the system fails to get defender. I cannot understand why this keeps on appearing.

there are many applications by which you can remove or add many things frm startup.Rather making some changes in registry its quite safe to use any application.as someone suggested me a utility known as advanced system optimizer .Use its startup manager that manages your startup programs. Its a nice one safe program to optmize windows..:-)
