Toshiba launches superplatine with XDE technology
As expected, Toshiba unveiled its new platinum salon which still limits the simple DVD. This new product has, however, what stoke curiosity because it includes a new engine which should improve the display quality DVDs. Combined with the Cell processor, this engine called XDE (eXtended Detail Enhancement) should offer a upscaling (passage of 480p at 1080p with interpolation) improved. Thus, Toshiba states that its technology, DVD watch HD appear on television with better picture quality. To that end, the XDE working on three main criteria: optimizations details, color and contrast.
Contrary to the rumors, Toshiba seems unable to compete with the quality of Blu-ray with this new platinum, but this is ultimately not really a surprise ...
The XDE technology is introduced with the new platinum XD-E500 1080p/24fps which supports the HDMI-CEC, DivX (DivX certification) and the viewing of JPEG photos. Son prix est de 149,99 dollars US. The price is U.S. $ 149.99.
