Word 2003 Crashes using Bullet Points

MS office 2003 Word (on Windows XP) crashes each time I try to insert bullet points in a document. It gives the 'Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience' error message each time. I've tried re-load Office but to no effect.

Any ideas ?

Hi Galla,

I've had the same issue for a couple of weeks. Fixed it today by deleting the following registry key:
HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\<version>.0\Word\List Gallery Presets
(I didn't actually delete the key but renamed it, so Word creates a new one when starting again). Ther <version> for Office 2003 is 11

If you don't know what you're doing, get further advice about modifying registry, remembering to take a complete backup first.
