CAPI_Worker Module Error with Sony-Ericsson PC Suite Solution

After the installation of Sony-Ericsson PC Suite, you encounter at every Windows startup, the following error:

"CAPI_Worker Module encountered a problem and must close. We're sorry for the inconvenience incurred."

The manipulation, to be carried out to solve this problem, is proposed here: CAPI_Worker module.

Follow the steps below:

1. Start > Control Panel > Add Hardware
2. Windows searches for hardware to add, can’t find any.
3. When it says “Is the hardware connected?” select “Yes”. Next.
4. In the following list, go to the bottom, and “Add a new hardware device”. Next.
5. “Install the hardware that I manually select”. Next.
6. “Ports (COM & LPT)”. Next.
7. On the left, select “(Standard port types)” and on the right “Communications port”. Next.
8. Next.
9. Finish

When you reboot, the message "CAPI_Worker Module encountered a problem and must close. We're sorry for the inconvenience incurred" should no longer appear.

I have tried to use your solution, but I cannot find PORTS listed in the area where you say it should appear.
Any advice???

You can try to find the ports in the device manager. Other than that the error capi_worker module error is found in Sony ericcson pc suite. This is usually due to epmworker.exe that is failed to start i.e unable to locate component which is usually a missing file ShowMfcDialog.dll. A good suggestion is to re-install the program or upgrade to a newer version as this problem might come again.
