Motherboard Onboard graphics issue!!

I have an ASUS M3N H/HDMI motherboard which has geforce 8300 onboard graphics...

but the day from which i bought the thing, the graphics is shown as geforce 9200... i ran it through GPU-Z... still it shows the same..

What seems to be the problem??

Please help

open your case to see if there is any new graphic card fitted perhaps? Was this bought second hand or is it a new build?

ANd the whole system is brand new.. zebronics cabinet with additional cooling and all that...

ANd there is nothing attached to any of the PCI slots...


Well.. and there r some issues with sound too... But its kinda weird... The sound is a little grainy after i install the drivers provided in the cd... without that the sound is OK....


So what shud i do??

This is my entire sys config...


AMD Phenom 9850 BE,
ASUS M3N H/HDMI
2 X 2GB 1066 DDR2 RAM
1TB HDD.

this is not a mediocre system naa..Still it takes a while when i install a new OS or something.. and startup time is not that remarkable..

But everything is under warranty.. So what shud i do?? what could be wrong??

If the computers brand new then send it back to be replaced, The only thing I can suggest otherwise is first wipe the CMOS and see if that helps if not try flashing the BIOS as the bios driver may not have been installed correctly. That would hopefully make the system faster but im not sure what would cause a spec check to give a false reading unless their is a problem with the hardware.
