Socket Error: 10060 / Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
This is new laptop with Windows Vista and I started using Windows Mail for the first time. After setting up everything I was able to receive emails but was not able to send any. Tried to get some help from web, they suggest to remove Norton, well I did the same but the problem remained. I even upgraded to Windows Live Mail but still can send the mails.
Everytime I click on send Button, use to get the following error:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'a', Account: 'mail.jecorporate.com', Server: 'mail.jecorporate.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port:25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
Someone please help.
Re: Socket Error: 10060 / Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
Probably upgrading to Windows Live Mail and removing Antivirus should fix the problem. But as you are saying the problem is still there, are you using any antivirus program after uninstalling Norton? If yes, just make sure that the email scanning is turned off. Probably that could be the only reason for the issue.
If that doesn’t helps, will suggest you try uninstalling and re-installing windows live mail again.
