Display the user permission on a share folder
Hi, due to some reasons I need to scan the share folder and report the user permission on the same? I tried doing the same using "ShareEnum" but don’t know why it only shows the domain login name.AM I doing something wrong or it is not possible at all? Is there any way we can make it show the User Name (from AD) instead of the login name? If yes, please let me know how.
Thank you.
Re: Display the user permission on a share folder
Hello friend, just try out Security Explorer - ScriptLogicSecurity. It is an explorer that will inspect your all documents, and manages Windows NT/2000/XP security on NTFS drives, You can download it from here

Hi Klums,
You can use powershell, get-acl command.
Re: Display the user permission on a share folder
I appreciate your helps guys. That was really tricky and helpful, also tried to export to csv. However, i would like to know is there any way we can convert the login id into User Name for easy reading?
Thanks again.
