Well, havent you got a CD/DVD with your kingsun ks 959 infrared adapter in the package? It should contain all the drivers and softwares for the same device. What is your operating system by the way? Try to go to its manufacturer's website and download the driver for this device that you are carrying. If it is not available at their site then shoot them an email address about its support.
If you have installed Vista on your computer then the issue is with the .inf file. So to solve this issue, open your CD or drivers archive directory and find the KS-959.sys file in it by searching. After that copy the whole directory containing the file to a different location. Now remove all the .inf files except the ks959-2000xp.inf from the new directory. After that also try to remove bad installed inf file from the Windows or inf directory. Search for a file called oemNN.inf that contains "KS-959" string and remove it from the directory. After that connect a device and select option to set up a driver froma directory on this pc. Now use the same location for the directory name that you made for a different location.
