Ram Issues
Hey guys. Im completely new to the forum but Ive had plenty of experience with computers. As such, I build my own at home.
So I recently overhauled my system and bought an Asus P5N-D and some G.Skill PC2 6400 ram.
So I came to the conclusion that yes, vista eats ram like no other and placed an order for 2 more sticks of ram. So I put the 2 other sticks in and booted up. With all 4 sticks in, it wont even get past the post screen now. I removed one stick and woo, it worked. But now my memory isnt all shiny and dual channel-y and so.. what can I do about this? Would updating the bios work? Because on paper, the board can support up to 4gbs for 32x. I know I wont utilize the sticks full potential but hey, 256-512 extra accessible memory is a good thing to me.

Ram and motherboard respectively.

I think if your mobo can support 4gb ram then there is no issue in upgrading the BIOS. Did you check by putting ram sticks one by one and seeing if there is any problem with the rams?
