Upgrading my computer
hi..
i am a noob. Got an old PC from my uncle couple of days ago.
Just want some suggestions from you guys to upgrade this computer.
My computer specification is:
32bit motherboard,
intel P4 processor 2.66,
80Gb SATA HDD.
Now i dont want to spend too much.
What can i do to speed up this computer?

Hi..
What i can suggest you to speed up your computer is add 1 gb RAM to your system this is not very costly. You will get a good speed as RAM is your memory for your current working. Your hard Drive is OK if you want to store more data then you can add another Hdd to an External HDD.:thumbup1:
Other than this if you want more upgradation then i suggest you to go for a new PC. :ohyeah:

Thanks for the reply. I will upgrade RAM to 1 Gb so should i keep my 512mb RAM & add this 1 GB RAM? OR replace it?
Can i install Vista or use XP only?
-
It depends on you!
Both the ways are good you can add 1gb stick with existing 512mb ram or put one more 512 mb ram stick with the existing one.
If you really want to install Vista & need it then Go for adding !bg Ram stick & you will get 1.5GB of ram which is good.
