Reinstalled Vista accidentally on old harddisk

A day before I had installed a new motherboard on my computer. After that I powered it on to start and the system asked me for a boot up disk. Now instead of booting from hard disk, I accidentally put in my Vista CD in the CD Drive and booted it. Now, I have a fresh installation of vista and I saved all my other files on that disk drive in a file called OldPC.old

Now my problem is that I can copy files from OldPC.old to new vista but I can't use it. Can anyone help me on this?

Sorry dude but you need to re-install all the applications and copy everything you need from OldPC.old. There is no way out of it.

You installed the Vista accidentally? Is that right? How someone can do that? Strange :ohmy:

Well, well, well there is nothing such strange thing happened over here. Generally it is recommended that you should reinstall the operating system if you are installing a new motherboard to get rid the problems that can be faced in the near future such as driver issues and many more.
