I think overclocking upto 4-5% is ok. Or is more than that overclock a safe one. Like upto 10%.

That all depends on what kind of CPU you have and what is the rig for that.Quote:

You can overclock your CPU upto the limit it doesn't get overheated. And it all depends what the supporting hardware is. As you said, 4-5% is normal overclocking for most of the CPUs. But one can try more till the system is not getting overloaded.
