WPA issues

Hello,

I am having some issues with my wireless network. When I do not have the network protected my laptop connects with no issues, but when I enable the password and enter the encryption key on my laptop and refresh the network will not connect. Any thoughts?

Are you using any modem? Which modem (if any) and router are you using? Reply with brand and model.

First check with you manufacturer that the card supports WPA..
Update your driver and client utility to the latest version.
Next use the wireless utility that came with the card to configure the WPA key.
Disable windows wireless networking uncheck "use windows to configure my wireless network"
IF WPA is still not working check that you access point WPA mode is set to "TKIP".
