I have mobile phone that I am using as a bluetooth modem to connect my laptop to internet. So, I just dialed and validated the username and password but when the computer is trying to register on the network then I am getting some error message that states "Error 734: The PPP link Control Protocol was terminated". Can anyoen help me out with this problem? Thanks.
Re: Error 734: PPP link control protocol was terminated
If you want o resolve this issue then try to configure the VPN server to allow clients to connect with MS-CHAPv2 as the authentication method. You can also try to disable the PAP, CHAP and MS-CHAP v2 by following the below methods:
- First of all open the Network Sharing Center.
- After that click Manage network connections.
- In the Network Connections window, right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties.
- In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
- In the Connection Properties dialog box, click to select the Security tab, click Advanced (Custom Settings), and then click Settings.
- In the Advanced Security Settings dialog box, click to either enable or disable the options for PAP, CHAP and MS-CHAP v2, and then click OK.
