Well,
With System Restore disabled, you will not be able to do a restore
point and all the old ones will be deleted. Instead, You will need to
use the Back up feature to make a backup of all your system files and
save them. Then just keep the backup up to date as you make changes.
Just in case you need them. The VRDB in Avast will help keep you safe
automatically, if you run the GENERATE NOW manually and allow it to
finish for a complete database for it to reference. It usually takes
about 30 Mins. or so to finish. The Automatic for screen saver is good
to help keep the VRDB updated and will be complete if it can run for the
30 mins. or so to finish. Otherwise it'll do it here and there until it
finishes.
But you will be ok. Any problems just post here and we'll help you out
the best we can.
Regards,
Shawn
