Media Usage Rights Acquisition
I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 laptop with Windows Media Player 11. Now I have CD with few old songs I purchased many years ago from a website. Now that site doesn’t seems to be working any more. Anyways, the problem is when I try to reload the CD music it gives me error messages saying:
Quote:
This program cannot display the web page. Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:
Check you Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page
More information. This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily has been lost.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) in not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website domain.
Am sure my internet connection is working fine otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to post this query. Hope you guys can help me out with this. Thank you.
Re: Media Usage Rights Acquisition
This is not the problem with Windows Media Player dude, probably its your browser. I can say this because am facing with very similar issue. Mine is Windows XP 64bit computer but whenever I try browsing with Internet Explorer 32bit I get exactly the same error message you posted above. But when I try browsing with 64bit IE, it works fine.
So, you need to check your internet settings and let me know as well if you get any solution.
Re: Media Usage Rights Acquisition
As you said the website or the company is not working any more, than if you cannot reacquire the licenses I doubt the files would indeed be useless.
