Office 2007 .tmp files cause access denied error when saving file.
We have some folders , they have reading and writing rights due to security reason. However, there is some problem with Office 2007. Due to some reason, we are not able to save files, actually the saving process doesn't gets completed as we are not able to delete the .tmp file. We get access denied or other errors as we don't have delete access permissions.
I want to know if there is any other way of getting rid of the .tmp file so that saving process gets completed without any issue??? any idea? any one?

Have you tried to turn off the Scan Network Drives option in any third party antivirus with Office 2007. To do that go to Options > Trust Centre > Trust Centre Settings > Trusted Documents, and here you can see an option for Trusting Network locations, just untick or tick the check mark over there, what ever works. Also see to it that the user has Modify permissions for the target save location.

It looks to me that it is making a new temporary file. The file might be getting created under a temporary name and if it is renamed once and saving and updating completes it. You can use this safe way because it wont overwrite the original file unless its sure the new content has been properly saved. But if the folders are locked down then it will not work.
