I got some problems with the desktop backgroun and want some solutions for it. Some months ago, I am not able to change the background picture through display properties > desktop > browse on Windows XP. I was able to right click in explorer and then select "Set as desktop background". But now, this option is missing. It is present when I right click on a picture on a website, but not in the explorer? Please help
Normally, the "Set as Desktop background" appears only if the folder view is set to thumbnails or filmstrip. You need to delete the values "wallpaper" and "WallPaperStyle" registry values. You can go through the below article to solve this issue:

You can try to delete the values "Wallpaper" and "WallPaperStyle" registry values and then set the key "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop\NoChangingWallpaper" from 1 to 0
I have tried both of the options and still can't get the "Set as Desktop Background" option. I'm on Windows XP Professional. I had it and now it's disappeared. Please let me know what else I can try.
