Acer AL2216W - driver installation fails
I have got an Acer AL2216W monitor and there are 3 files like .inf file, .cat file and .icm file. Now the problem with this LCD screen is that it shows a default driver as pnp monitor device in device management. And if I am trying to update it manually, then the result is, no better driver found. How is this possible, do I need to remove the video card driver first? Can anyone advice me how to solve this issue?
Re: Acer AL2216W - driver installation fails
Can you please tell us whether your monitor is plug and play? Have you tried installing your video adapter drivers first? Do you have any type of problems with the display of your lcd screen?
Re: Acer AL2216W - driver installation fails
You should know that most of the monitor drivers just seem to have the monitor's name into the Device Manager and pnp monitor also seems to be the "standard" setting that might work most of the time.

I cannot say that it is not working properly or so, but I just wanted to ensure that it is correctly setup or not? I am just trying to update drivers which seems to be too old for the monitor?
