How to get Digital Certificate for Outlook 2007?
I was previously using a Verisign certificate for Outlook 2003 that I usually paid for some $ for a year. But when I try to obtain same kind of certificate for Outlook 2007 from http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ma...504841033.aspx then it is offering only 2 providers and both of them charge $360 per year per person? I have also tried to get the versign ID to work, but it wont work at all. Can anyone tell me some other ideas?

You can go for a Thawte email certificate and can also use it to sign and encrypt email if you would like. Just search for its website on the net and at the bottom you will find a way on how to get started with it. Personally I think that verisign is very costly and therefore it is not advisable to use that service anymore.

You can try to use Certificate Services Web enrollment pages together by following the article here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922706

You have to go into the Internet Explorer settings by going into Internet Options and then Content Certificates and from there you will be able to import the cert from the Thawte or any other provider that you would like and then it will be available for the configuration in Outlook 2007 as well. This was the answer given by the microsoft people.
