Vista64 / Outlook 2007 -- "Cannot open your default e-mail folders."
Hello,
I am trying to open my Outlook 2007 in Vista, it will load up and then ill get popup saying "Cannot open your default e-mail folders. outlook cannot start because a data file to send and receive mail cannot be found. To add a data file, such as a personal folder file, double-click the Mail icon in Windows Control Panel."
I am not why this happening with my system. I cannot see mail icon in my control panel. Can you please tell how I can fix this issue? I have uninstalled/reinstalled, but still I can see the same pop up on my outlook 2007 and when I click ok button, it get close automatically.

Well I am pretty sure this problem is due to bad or corrupt profile. You need to create a New profile, follow the below steps.
Click Start Menu
Click on Run
Type the following command.
outlook.exe /promptimportprf \\localfolder\outlook.prf
Now click Yes to the prompt and reestablish parameter for email again. I had the same issues I have follow this steps and its resolved my problem immediately!

Are you connected to Microsoft Exchange Server? A .ost file is an offline line use with Exchange Server. You need to connect to Exchange, with your new profile and then try to sync a new offline file.
