I need a bit suggestion for my new PC. It is a new assembled system, installed Windows Vista and other required apps. Now what I need to know is can I install Office 2003 and Office 2007 both on the same drive or same PC ? It is my requirement hence I want to do this. Somebody please let me know soon as I don’t want to mess up in future.
I don’t think it is possible because afaik only one Outlook can be installed on one PC. But there are few websites telling that you can do it by creating a registry key. To do so, Click Start > RUN > Type regedit and press enter. Now navigate to the following location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\OptionsNew DWord Key named NoRereg Value 1
Once this is done, restart the pc and install the next office. If you don’t do this, your Office 2003 will trying to repair itself.
That was exactly what I needed. I made the key and that helped me installing both office together smoothly.
