Blocking website URLs in SBS 2003
Hi, I’m running SBS 2003 with several clients connected to this server. Due to some reason I need to block few social networking websites such as facebook, myspace, and youtube access to users. I wanted to know if it is possible to do the same from the SBS itself or do I need help of any third party application?
If it is possible from SBS, please let me know how? Many Thanks.
Re: Blocking website URLs in SBS 2003
Is your SBS 2003 Premium server running with ISA? Until you reply let me tell you that as your SBS server is the only DNS service for your network, you can also create forward zones for each of those domain names, giving them no IP's. This will restrict them to visit those websites.

Thank you for the suggestion Patton. But I have bit confusion here. Can you please tell should the domain record for this be a Primary, Secondary, or Stub?
Re: Blocking website URLs in SBS 2003
I havn’t tried blocking in this way hence would be difficult to be sure as I use Firewall for all blocking purposes but I think you should go with primary as one of my friends have done this using Primary and it works.
