netlogon event id 5723

I am continuously getting errors on my AD 2003 DCs which is written below:

The session setup from computer 'abc' failed because the security database does not contain a trust account 'abc$' referenced by the specified computer.

abc was a computer that was dis-joined and since be rebuilt with a different computer name. Can anyone tell me how to remove the computer completely from a 2003 AD domain running 2003 servers. This computer is also not showing up in ADCU on any of the DCs. Thanks for any help

You can try to remove data in Active Directory after an unsuccessful domain controller demotion, just follow the suggestions given on this website - http://support.microsoft.com/?id=216498

The server was an old ISA server and it was not a DC. The ISA was removed and the server removed from the domain into a workgroup. I am not left with some cleanup to do but not sure what tools are available to use. It it was a DC then I am going to guess it would have been NTDSUTIL but as this was not as DC, I seem to be stuck.

Can you try to check to see if you an find the abc in reverse dns lookup? Also, I was thinking if I have seen this error when a machine has been cloned via a Ghost like utility. Have you tried to do this? Thanks.
