I’m running a SBS 2003 with Exchange. Since last few days I noticed Event 9791 warnings appear n the Application log several times every day. And due to this, the mailbox expands 10 times their customary size. Although I can recover the space back again by simply opening the mailbox with Outlook; often export/import of the mailbox. But I wanted to know what is causing that error again and again in every hour?
The event error id you mentioned above is actually a warning message which is related to Exchange Server performance. Just go through the following steps to fix the same:
Restart Microsoft exchange information store service.
Dismount mailbox store and remount.
In order to dismount mailbox store and remount it again, go to exchange system manager and click on Expand Servers. First storage group, maibox store, right click and click dismount store. Then click mount store.
I came through a KB Article DeliveredTo table in the Exchange Server 2003 mailbox store database may continue to grow. They have also provided a Hotfix to solve the problem. You can get the same here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919417
Hello Dakshi, did you managed to fix the problem? Even am getting 9791 warnings on a weekly basis, but have not seen any other issues on my server. What do we need to do in order to fix it?
