How do I uninstall CHIC - Other Hardware - USB Browser Mouse update

I recently did a Windows update and once this update was downloaded and installed on my machine, the labtec usb mouse that I have is not working from that time. I even tried other wireless mouse that I have but that didnt work either and I get an error message that says "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.

Can anyone please tell me how do i uninstall this Chic update from my computer?

Try the below method and see if that works for you:

1. First of all right click on my computer and then choose Properties.
2. After that click on Hardware tab and then click on Device Manager.
3. Click on the HID-Compliant device and then on the driver tab you can choose "Roll Back Driver" or either "Uninstall" the same.
4. Restart the pc and then see if the mouse is getting detected or not.

I am not able to find any Chic driver in the device manager, I cant see it anywhere listed. Only the thing is that, an unknown device is shown which I think is the mouse only and when I am trying to either update or install it then I get the error message which I have listed in my first post. This problem is driving me crazy.

Can you try to right click on the Unknown Device and then choose the option of Update Driver Software. After that you have to select "Browse my computer for driver software" and then choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". Here you have to simply select "HID compliant mouse" or uncheck "Show compatible hardware". Once all this things are done then check if the mouse is getting listed. Remember not to choose the "USB Browser Mouse" which is normally the Chic driver.
