"Rate my Computer" is missing
This is Vista Home Premium Laptop on Dell laptop running since past 6 months. Earlier there was some Ratings options for my system but now when I go to "Performance Information and Tools" there is no more “Experience rating”
The same happens with My Computer > Properties, There is no more buttons for "Rate my computer". Any help what could be the problem and how can I get them back ?
Re: "Rate my Computer" is missing
Go to Start, click RUN and type “winsat” press Enter.
This will open up a window where you need to click winsat.exe.
Now I don’t know how can we restore GUI but by running this ‘winsat’ (Windows System Assessment tool) you are running the execute that generates those rating figures.
Re: Re: "Rate my Computer" is missing
I have been through the same problem earlier on my vista desktop. I called a technician and he changed few settings under registry that bring back the rating system for me. Though all these were done by him, he later explained me what actually he did and the same am doing here:
- Go to Start type REGEDIT to open registry editor.
- Now navigate to the following location:
Quote:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\ControlPanel\Performance Control Panel
- Here on the right side, see if you get any key named “PerfcplEnabled”.
- If it is there, delete the same.
- Now go to the following location and delete the same key:
Quote:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Performance Control Panel
Once done, restart the computer and see if those ratings are back.
