After installing Windows Vista on my laptop I am getting a battery error. My old batter is faulty and I bought a new one. When I connected it to the system it give me a error that battery is not detected. The battery is connected and removed the power adapter also. But still the same error appeared on the screen. Does there is some kind of special battery driver that Vista uses to detect it. I do not find anything related to that. Any idea what should I do know to get rid of this error.
This happens in some laptop. Even if give you error you can ignore that. It is because Vista is not able to find any utility that inform it about the remaining battery output. You can find that utility in your chipset disc. I am talking about the driver cd that you get with the laptop. Also you can play with a basic troubleshooting option by cold resetting the device.
Try to perform bios calibration. You had not found the battery utility that usually allows Vista to read the battery power. Search for the same on the official website. You will find something there. If you can mention the model then I can help you to find the battery utility.
