ATIKMDAG.SYS BSOD

I have recently installed Windows Vista 64 bit on my pc and after that I am getting continuous blue screen of death with an error atikmdag.sys at every 2-3 minutes or so. I also have a ATI Radoen 9800xt graphics card and I somehow managed to run through the configuration and got through it before the system blue screen again, to check if it was some installation issue. But I was not able to get any kind of installation error and am not even able to install the drivers for the graphics card. So, can anyone tell me how do i fix this issue?

I think that there are still some problems with the Ati drivers for their graphics card. You will either have to wait for a proper version of the driver to get release or will have to switch back to Windows XP in the meanwhile, till a Vista proper driver is released. In any case, you can visit the official manufacturer's website and check for any updated drivers that you can use - http://www.ati.com/
