Asus Maximus V motherboard wont boot with A2 error
I have been using this motherboard for quite a time now but yesterday when I was trying to start it then it was not booting. I cannot even go to the BIOS screen and get some kind of A2 error code at the start. I havent dont any changes to the motherboard and also no new software was installed. Can anyone tell me how can I solve this problem? Thanks.
Re: Asus Maximus V motherboard wont boot with A2 error
I think that there might be some problem with the HDMI or display ports. I also do not think that Sata hard drive or sata cables have anything to do with this. Can you get a spare HDMI cables and see if that helps. Also, it will be good if you can get a spare graphics card with HDMI output and use that instead of the onboard graphics of the motherboard.
Re: Asus Maximus V motherboard wont boot with A2 error
Even I was getting the A2 code error with my Asus motherboard. But I was able to solve it. I dont know why you cannot get into bios but I was able to get into bios and then I set my hard drives to IDE and then restarted the computer. After that the computer started properly without any error at the startup. Hopefully if you can get into BIOS then you can solve this issue.
Re: Asus Maximus V motherboard wont boot with A2 error
Can you try to connect all the devices that you are using on your machine to the Intel ports. If this is not working then you can try to test with only the hard drive connected. You can start with Intel 1(6G) port and test every one of them. If still that doesnt work then the DVD burner might be not compatible, so remove it and see if the pc starts.
