Android's next version is Kitkat, not Key Lime Pie
Since past couple of months we were hearing rumors that Google is going to launch their next Android version which should be probably 5.0 code named as Key Lime Pie. Earlier on August 25th instead of 5.0 they introduced Android 4.3 JellyBean with the launch of new Nexus Tablet and ChromeCast. Anyways, that's fine. Still we were accepting Android 5.0 in coming Google I/O which is to be held in October, as mentioned in here http://forums.techarena.in/operating...ms/1470869.htm. But here is the Big Surprise....
The next big operating system will be Android 4.4 which is named as Android Kitkat. Well this is not a rumor, it is final words said by Android Boss Sundar Pichai in Google+ as well as Twitter. Infact they have also released the photo of KitKat statue, have a look:
Re: Android's next version is Kitkat, not Key Lime Pie
Yeah, even i read some articles about this. The deal between Google and Nestle was started earlier in December 2012, but they finalized the same on last tuesday. By the way it was a real surprise from Google. Where people were expecting Key Lime Pie, they came with Kitkat all of a sudden. The reason behind this name said by John Lagerling was "one of the snacks that we keep in our kitchen for late-night coding are KitKats." Sounds good.

Most probably the new Android 4.4 Kitkat will be revealed with Google Nexus 5 smartphone in October at the upcoming Google I/O. Just like every year, google will unveil these both (Smartphone and Operating system) in Google I/O.
