internet connection drops continuously on Windows 8
I have got a laptop which is running on Windows 8 that keeps losing internet connection continuously. It seems to be connected to the router but doesnt really have internet connected. I have tried to ping the router and there is no packet loss also. If I try the same internet connection on Windows 7 pc then it stays connected and there is no problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you able to appear online but the internet browsers are not working? If so then it might be possible that the TCP/IP protocol could be corrupted. If you want to solve this issue then you have to reset winsock and also the TCP/IP stack. Just copy and paste the below 2 commands, one after another into a elevated command prompt and the hit enter on your keyboard:
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log hit
Now restart your machine and test the connection.

I was also suffering from a similar kind of problem but was able to solve it. I noticed that the router and modem was not liking the WPA2 security, so what I did was, I switched to WEP and then the issue was solved within a fraction of a second. Also, now I am getting a good download speed. Hope this helps you as well.
Re: internet connection drops continuously on Windows 8
Have you tried to make any changes to your computer before the problem started. What is the make and model of the computer that you have? Do you also get any error message when you run the network troubleshooter? It could be possible that you need to install the updated driver for the network adapter in your computer, so download the same from its manufacturer's website and install it in your computer.
