Windows 8 error code: 0x8007232B

I am already using a Dell laptop with Windows 8 since past 6 months. Liked the new interface, new features and performance. Hence bought a copy of Windows 8 from Microsoft to install it on my Windows 7 running desktop. Well installation went fine without any problem but it seems like it dont want to be activated. I have the product key written on the back sticker of the DVD. When i enter the keys (correctly) to Activate the Windows, it ends up with an Error code 0x8007232B.

Restarted the several times, so far i might have tried entering the key more than 15 times but yet the same result. Many times it also gives an error saying something like "DNS name doesn't exist." What does that means and how can i activate my Windows 8 copy?

Please help.

Hello Genesee, This is a common error faced by several Windows Users during Activation. There are several solutions provided by Microsoft to get rid of this activation error but all that depends on exact Windows Edition you are using. But here you haven't mentioned which edition of Windows 8 you are using, such as Windows 8 Enterprises, Pro, Rt, etc??

Sorry for the problem Odalis. It is Windows 8 Enterprises 32bit.

On Windows 8 Enterprises edition, here is what you need to follow in order to fix the 0x8007232B error. But before we start the process make sure that you have taken Multiple Activation Key instead of KMS. If you have the same then:

• Press Windows + X on your system.
• Open command prompt as an Administrator
• Type the below command followed by Enter key:
  
  Quote:

  ---

  slmgr.vbs -ipk <xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx->

  ---

• Note, 'xxxxx' is your product key
• Once done, type the following in command prompt:

  ---

  slmgr.vbs -ato

  ---

Thats it. Now try the activation.

Hello Genesee, if you are having the genuine key and facing problems with Activation then Microsoft also provide you freedom for Phone Activation. You can simply call up Microsoft Folks and explain them the problem. They will help you out through the activation process right there. For doing the same, follow these steps:

• Open command prompt and type "slui.exe 4" followed by Enter.
• From the opened window select your Country and click 'Phone Activation' option.
• Follow the onscreen options.

Thats it.
