How to reset Nokia Siemens residential router 1600

I was using a different router but now I have bought a new router of Nokia Siemens residential router 1600. I am not able to login to the router because I dont remember the username and password that I used to access the router page by typing 192.16.1.1 to access. So is there anyone who is using same router can provide me some details to reset this router? Thanks.

I believe that you have bought a new router, so you will have to use the default password to login the router page. Basically, you need to enter admin in both the username and password to login the router page. Simply follow the below steps to do that:

1. Launch Internet Explorer browser first.
2. After that type http://192.168.1.1 and then press enter.
3. A page will pop-up telling you to insert username and password.
4. Simply ente "admin" without quotes to easily login to the Nokia Siemens Router page.

There is a reset button the modem iteself. You can check for a small hole on the bottom side of the modem, under it is the reset button usually. So, when the modem is turned on, then you can use a pin and insert it in the hole and try to hold it for atleast 30 seconds. After that release it and your modem will be reset. After doing this resetting, you will again have to configure your router for internet connection.

When you will access your modem or the router pages then you need to check under Management for Reset option. But before doing a reset, try to back the current settings on your router. For doing this, simply go to C:/My Documents/ sl2 141 and backup the present settings. Hope this helps you out.
