Windows 8 Error code: 0x0000005D after installtion
I have installed windows 8 release preview (64bit) in my system today without any issue but as soon as I rebooted my system to log in to windows I came across Error code: 0x0000005D. It says below lines.
Your PC needs to restart.
Please hold down the power button.
Error Code: 0x0000005D
Parameters:
0x030F0209
0x756E6547
0x49656E69
0x6C65746E
What might be the issue in my case???
Re: Windows 8 Error code: 0x0000005D after installtion
First of all make sure that your processor supports Physical Address Extension (PAE), NX, and SSE2. As far as I am aware most of the processor now a day’s support these features. So if you are getting above error even after your processor supports the required feature than NX feature might not be enabled in your system.
You can go through BIOS setting for the NX support option, If you don’t find it there than you can refer to manual or contact your system manufacturer to know about the NX support option.

Which motherboard and processor you are using in your system??? I guess they might not be fulfilling the requirements of windows 8 release preview (64bit). Just post them in your next reply for further help.

Motherboard - ASRock H67M (B3) LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Processor – Intel i5-2400 3.10 GHz 4 core CPU
I have gone through the Intel site and my CPU supports both Virtualization and NX. However I don’t see any option in bios for enabling NX feature.
Re: Windows 8 Error code: 0x0000005D after installtion
I have gone through your motherboard manual and have found Virtualization and NX option in BIOS > Advanced > CPU Configuration > Intel Virtualization Technology and No-Execute Memory Protection settings. Enable them if they are not,
Let me know if you are able to boot in to windows after enabling them.
