Cannot install Officejet Pro L7780 All-in-One Scanner driver v14 on windows 7

So i just want to ask you guys as I don’t have original software and making attempts to install Officejet Pro L7780 All-in-One Scanner driver but however , it seems that as I am now on upgrade version of windows that is windows 7 and this might be the reason why it is not allowing me to install. I previously installed it when I was with windows xp and now it is not allowing me to install. So I can just assume that it is operating system up-gradation, but as you guys may be knowing the exact reason behind this , I want to know from your side. I always recive some popup errors which state that the imaging device can't be found. I just tried with un-installing and then re-installing but it neither helped me. HPSDU.exe tells me that there is no scanner driver installed. So can you help me further.
