Hi, am new to Windows 8, recently dual booted with my windows 7 . I don’t understand the difference between photos app and photo gallery. Neither do I understand, when should of them be used. As in, the application of both of them. Somebody please help me out of this confused state. Please help.
Photos app, is an application compatible only with Windows 8. It is an application which brings all the photos, rather memories together at one place. It is integrated with a number of SNs like Facebook and also with photo sharing portals like Flickr.It is also integrated with Windows Charms and to let you share and print your photos.
That was indeed a very helpful information. I sort of understood Photos app is all about. But I’m not really sure, where exactly the difference between lies. If you could list down the features of that also. It would be of great use for me to understand.
Oh! I would be more than happy to do that. Windows Live Photogallery 2011 is a platform where in one can import, edit, and organize his /her photographs. Windows Gallery is compatible with any Windows OS with Windows 7 or higher version. Whereas, Photos App is for Windows 8 only.
Photo Gallery is not really compatible with Windows 8. I have both viz; Photos app and Photo Gallery installed in my PC. But I can’t go ahead with Geotagging and other activities.
Every time, I get nothing but a ‘Check Connection’ or ‘No connection message’. But all other network related applications work perfect.
