re: No support for Hong Kong or other Asian Countries by iPad 4G
With regard to the fact that the third generation of Apple-tablet is a device that supports high-speed communications 4G LTE, the new iPad, does not seem to be able to work in the LTE-networks of countries other than the United States and Canada. This is due to the fact that its LTE-module operates in an environment only certain frequencies - 700 and 2100 MHz. In European and Asian countries, and Hong Kong under the LTE identified other frequency bands such as 800, 1800, 2300 and 2600 MHz.

iPad implemented chip Qualcomm MDM9600, which supports the following types of communication: LTE UE Category 3, CDMA2000 1x/EV-DO Rev.A and Rev.B, GSM / GPRS / EDGE, WCDMA / HSPA / HSPA + / DC-HSPA +.
It is unclear whether Apple will enter into agreements with mobile operators outside of North America, preparing them for options iPad Wi + Fi LTE with the supported frequencies. Some people think that would be long, as the native market for Cupertino primary.

Will there be a new iPad to keep in touch 4G in Hong Kong?". Just answer it yet could only cellular operators, but they have not quite in the subject. At least until April-May iPad third generation in the Hong Kong does not appear, respectively, on the 4G now on the iPad, few thought. it is clear that under the LTE-bond will be allocated a maximum of two ranges - 700 and 2100 MHz (in the model for AT & T). These bands appear in the description of the iPad, intended for delivery to European and Asian countries. At the same time in Russia 4G works in completely different ranges: 791-862 MHz, 2300-2400 MHz and 2500-2690.
It is hard to imagine that Apple will be releasing a special version of the iPad for Hong Kong, where the firmware will be laid other ranges LTE. It is equally difficult to imagine, and that the Ministry of Communications for the sake of iPad will change the distribution of frequencies. In general, as long as everything goes to the fact that the third-generation 4G iPad in Hong Kong will not work at all.

re: No support for Hong Kong or other Asian Countries by iPad 4G
That is true what people mention here Unfortunately, the 4G LTE modems are designed only for operators AT & T and Verizon. This means that the version of AT & T will only work on the network AT & T, Verizon and the version is only for network Verizon. This also applies to other devices for mobile data technology LTE outside the U.S. there is a fairly limited number of networks of LTE. But even if the consumer will not able to find them, then the operator AT & T, and Verizon will not be able to provide roaming services to connect to networks of LTE.
