installing windows 8 on samsung series 7 slate
I bought a new Samsung series 7 sate 4 days ago. It’s a good tablet pc with respects to its look and design but I really do not like the OS installed on it i.e. Windows 7. I got bored and irritated with windows 7 after using the tablet for just 1 day.
So now I am planning to get windows 8 installed on my series 7 slates by myself. I have really never tried installing an OS onto a tablet PC. But this time I would love to try it but can’t perform a single step without your help so please help me in installing windows 8 step wise. And also let me know whether installing windows 8 on series 7 is a good option or not, I mean does it have any negative impact on the system?
Re: installing windows 8 on samsung series 7 slate
Dude I can’t help you out installing windows 8 OS onto your tablet PC with complete detailed steps as it’s a long procedure to install the OS. But yeah I can surely give you the basic and easy way out to install it.
- Update your firmware before you delete your windows 7
- Make some machine settings changes
- Boot the USB device to install Windows 8
- Run Easy Software Manager
If you are pretty much aware of the installation part or even with the technical things then definitely the above steps will easily be able to help you out with the windows 8 installation. But if you really need to know the complete guidance then better you visit certain sites and get the guide which will help you in the installation.

Directly installing the windows 8 using the above steps is not just enough to make a successful installation, you also need to have certain thing with you before you start the process. Maybe the things which are required will look like useless but they will really be helpful during the installation.
- A bootable USB device – you can use either a USB DVD drive or a USB thumb drive. For installing windows 8 x 64 you will be needing more than 4GB thumb drive and if you want to install the same version with the development tool then you will need 8GB+ drive. If you install windows 8 from the USB thumb drive then it would be lot faster than the installation from DVD drive.
- A keyboard and a Mouse – these both things are highly advisable for some of the pars. I know this requirement looks really very much silly but trust me it will be really very much irritating and painful installing the OS with having these basic parts with you. if planning to use a USB keyboard better drop the idea as you will be booting the USB drivers while installation. So use a USB hub.
