Audio Skipping with Windows Update
I've recently installed the Intel R ICH9m-E SATA AHCI controller on my laptop through Windows Update on my 64bit laptop. Whenever I play music now or YouTube videos, the audio and sometimes the video start to skip. Everytime I get rid of the update it works just fine, but then it reinstalls itself. Is there a way I can bypass that certain update or does anyone know a fix for this issue?
Re: Audio Skipping with Windows Update
You can go in to the control panel/windows updates and after that just change the settings to notify and not directly download and install them after changing the settings just click on apply and after that you will be able to make a custom install of the updates you want.
Re: Audio Skipping with Windows Update
I've done that actually but when I restart the computer, the Driver Device manager pops up upon restart and installs it anyway.
Re: Audio Skipping with Windows Update
If you want then you an try to hide the update, i mean that the Windows Update offers an option to restore hidden updates, you can check out the option in the left pane of the Windows Update window. You just have to select the update and then click on the Restore button and this will add the update to the update cycle again and you can install it or deploy it accordingly. Hope that helps.
