Previously I was using the simple Nokia phones and past week I bought my first Smartphone of Samsung Exhibit 4G. As this my first ever Smartphone, I’m unknown of using much of the functions in this phone applications. But one thing I want to know about is what is the use of the tethering in the phone and using this, what benefits I can get with it.
So can anyone help me with this, so that I can come to know about what exactly tethering means.
According to me, Tethering means that you can use your Smartphones as a modem to connect to internet via USB cable, but it connects to single computer at a time. So if you want to connect your phone with the internet than you can do with the USB cable.
I got what the tethering means but would like to know that what should I do to connect the data connection on the computer. Can you help me out with the simple steps. So that it can be easy for me to connect with it.
And also one thing I would like to know that does tethering works on the windows 7, as my computer runs on the windows 7.
If you want to tether your Smartphone then you can do it on the windows 7, and it also works with the windows XP, windows vista.
Here are the steps to tether using your Samsung Exhibit 4G smartphone:-
1) To do this go to the “Menu” and open it
2) After this go to the “Settings”
3) In settings => wireless and Network => Tethering and portable hotspot
4) Now after this Select the check box of USB tethering
5) Doing this will enable you network data connection to share it with the computer using with the USB connection.
