I am having a Nintendo wii and I am not having any problem with it but then I just wanted to know that can I play NES/SNES/N64/GC roms on wii?? I mean by just placing them on the SD card and so, I am not very sure about the same, so is there anyone who have tried this and can help me out??
Before I suggest you something about the same I just wanted to know that why are you willing to try in that way, why can you just download them from the shopping channel and I think that this is the only way from which you can get the classic games on the wii, is there any reason behind the same??Quote:

Actually I have checked out the shopping channel but then I don’t think that they are offering that many games and the other reason behind this that I am having a no of NES/SNES/N64 games which I have owned previously and that is the reason I am not willing to but then again from the shopping channel, I just wanted to know that if there was a way by which we can enter the serial key of the game which will indicate that we own them and then we can download them for free, If they are not offering the ability to play roms? Any further help for the same will be appreciated.

The other thing that I just wanted to ask that when you are owning the game then why are you willing to get those games again??
Yes i do own them but then the thing here is that I am willing to get them again because my console are facing some problem and they are not working well, I thought that I will get the cube games or say I will re-purchase them if they would be controlled by the WiiMote, hope that my situation is clear to you by now??
As far as I am aware I don’t think that there are emulators ported for wii and that is the reason why you won’t be able to play the roms but then I have just came to know that the gamecube is having the emulator and as we know that the wii is capable of reading the gamecube files and if you are having the right files and the equipment that is needed than it can be just a hack, I also wanted to add that as far as know the emulation and homebrew are available for the original xbox I am not that sure about the wii, you can just Google out this tutorial “Running Homebrew and Emulators on the Wii Console Tutorial”
I think that it is illegal to do so because the ROMS and emulators does not provide the proof by which you can say that you own the game, where as the Nintendo needs to know that you are owning the game or not but then the other question that I am having in my mind is that when I am owning a game for the console and if I wander to somewhere else then is there any possibility that I can play the game legally on a portable console, is there anyone who has an answer for this??
