Qosmio-X775-7272-BD tries to load a DVD with no DVD in the drive

I am using Qosmio-X775-7272-BD from two months. It works well. But now a day when more processes are running. When there is no dvd inside the dvd drive then also my BD-DVD drive tries to load a dvd. This slows downs all other processes of my laptop. It’s really annoying. What can be the solution? Please help me to solve this problem.

Really this is annoying. Insert dvd in your when your dvd drive try to search dvd without dvd in the drive. And see the results. And reply me.:cool:

My dvd drive keeps searching for the dvd if the dvd is inserted in it. Drive only spins the dvd but it cannot perform any action.:no: My dvd drive only search for dvd for long time due to this other programs get breezed. This is unacceptable. what can be the solution?

I am having the exact same problem in my laptop and I am not able to figure out a way. But it does not affect my other programs but my dvd drive making sound continuously. Anyone else have anything to say about this problem?

Check your firmware version of dvd drive if it is out of date then download the recent version of the firmware. If your firmware is already updated then it may be the hardware problem I think so. If the problem remains for long time then contact to Qosmio service center they have to solve your problem.
