reinstalling windows 7 with 32GB RAM
I have a 32GB ram installed in my pc. I have a windows 7 home CD with pro upgraded codes. Now my doubt is whether I should install window 7 home with 16GB and then install pro with the remaining or should go for whole 32GB for the installation. What exactly should I do? Will this installation be able to recognize my 32GB ram by both the home and pro addition of windows 7?
Re: reinstalling windows 7 with 32GB RAM
Yes, there is no problem in installing both home and pro. Recently I put up 32GB in my upgraded system. And it was actually recognized by both the version of windows 7.
Re: reinstalling windows 7 with 32GB RAM
I tried the same in my pc. I could explain the problem properly because I noticed an unusual detail. When I checked in my system details it said that I have 32GB and beside this it said that 16GB is in usable. Initially I was confused but later on one of my friend said that the system of my machine recognizes the whole ram but the windows 7 Home recognizes 16 GB which is in usage. But what if it really uses only 16GB?
Re: reinstalling windows 7 with 32GB RAM
Even I was confused initially. But later on I understood the whole concept. It’s an artificial limit shown by windows 7. It actually detects the whole 32GB but shows up 16GB usage. So you need have to worry your RAM is completely safe and totally usable. And also you can go either of the way installing your OS.
