Re: QuickTime 10.1 is not able to detect the MP4 files
Can you tell me how the Files are stored on the system? I let you know that the Standard addressing files are limited to the 4 GB. Long addressing can be used to create the longer file however if you have copied or stored on the drives initialized with the disk operating systems which are supporting all the 4 GB file length limitation. If that is the case you are supposed to face the same kind of the issue. if the QuickTime is not able to get the end of the file then it will not able to open the file at all.

Re: QuickTime 10.1 is not able to detect the MP4 files
Normally I used to capture the content as of MPEG-4/AVC video "muxed with the AC3 audio into the MPG container and convert the same at 720p and it is of the TV compression format for the iTunes management.
By looking at the 55t mean 55 TB and I don’t think so there is now way to manipulate the such huge amount of the data without trimming the same.
Re: QuickTime 10.1 is not able to detect the MP4 files
If you are not able to resolve the issue then I am suggesting that you should reinstall the QuickTime on the system of yours.
